Jiu Jitsu near Reservoir

If you live in Reservoir, there's a full-time jiu jitsu dojo close by. We teach Japanese and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for kids from 4½, teens and adults at our friendly dojo at 272 Dundas St, Thornbury, and complete beginners are always welcome. From Edwardes St or the Broadway shops it's about five kilometres south, and bus 552 connects Reservoir with Dundas St.

Which class suits you?

• Japanese Jiu Jitsu (16+): striking, throws, locks, ground fighting, weapons and knife defence, with 7 classes a week.
• Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (16+): beginner-friendly Gi and No-Gi, with 3 classes a week.
• Young Adults (16 to 17): the full adult syllabus in our adult classes, usually partnered with other teens.
• Junior Adults (11 to 15): age-appropriate self defence and weapons.
• Samurai Warriors and Ninja Stars (4½ to 10): confidence, discipline and life skills, after school and on Saturdays.

You're welcome to train in one programme or in both Japanese and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, as multiple memberships are available. See the full timetable.

We teach kids from 4½ (Ninja Stars 4½ to 7, Samurai Warriors 8 to 10), teens 11 to 15 (Junior Adults), Young Adults 16 to 17 in the adult classes, and adults in Japanese and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

How much is the trial?

4 free classes plus a free uniform for Japanese Jiu Jitsu, kids and teens. $99 for up to 12 classes over 4 weeks plus a new BJJ uniform for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
